Grassroots Kickoff Event Start: 10:00 am End: 5:00 pm Josephine County Grassroots Kickoff Event! At Josephine County Democratic Headquarters 516 NE 7th St., at C St. (please park on C St.) This Saturday August 9th The Obama campaign sent a staffer to help the Josephine County Democrats turn out votes for November! Come meet the new staffer, Max Brown, and relay ideas about how to energize the community in Josephine County, do some doorbelling or sign making to help the Dems! Canvassing from 10-12 and 12-2 Meet and greet social from 3-5 Contact Max Brown, Campaign For Change organizer phone: 541 337-3180 email: mbrown@oregon4change.com The purpose of canvassing is two fold: 1. Identify supporters who we need to make sure turn out for the general election! 2. Persuasion and passing out literature to people who are undecided In real terms, this translates into an ability for us to build a database of supporters in Josephine county that we can turn out en masse for the election. For this initial canvass I will be cutting lists that are much friendlier than usual. This means you'll be knocking on doors belonging to leaning or strong Democrats.
