The Obama campaign sent a staffer to help the Josephine County Democrats turn out votes for November! Come meet the new staffer, Max Brown, and relay ideas about how to energize the community in Josephine County,
do some doorbelling or sign making to help the Dems!

The purpose of canvassing is two fold:
1. Identify supporters who we need to make sure turn out for the general election!
2. Persuasion and passing out literature to people who are undecided

In real terms, this translates into an ability for us to build a database of supporters in Josephine county that we can turn out en masse for the election. For this initial canvass I will be cutting lists that are much friendlier than usual. This means you'll be knocking on doors belonging to leaning or strong Democrats.

It is EXTREMELY important for people to be willing to volunteer. The only way we are going to deliver the county for Barack is if we have a wide network of reliable support. The difference between winning and losing a campaign comes down to how much support we have on the ground.

This week our focus will be recruiting people to head up their own phonebanks. If we have multiple phone banks running from multiple locations, our ability to reach out to voters increases exponentially.
